As an ode to knowing that we all live our own lives, but need connection to survive and thrive and knowing that this is best done through conversation and asking questions, we present to you the: 'What's on your mind' Beanie made from organic and recycled materials.
We are the main characters in our own lives - all that we are and have done so far influences how we see the world. In our daily lives we often forget that every one of us has their own life and perspectives and thus feelings and thoughts.
When you're taking the tube to work thinking about how you'd like to get in touch with an old friend because you miss them - all these other people have somewhere to go, are thinking about and feeling something you might have no idea about. The beauty of it all is that it means we are main characters, but also play other roles. We all think. We all feel. There are so many things that we share with others that we don't even know about and there are so many new things to learn about. You're not alone and there is so much more to experience.
We've searched high and low for a beanie that would fit our standards as a responsible brand and settled on this Rib Beanie:
80% Organic Ring-Spun Combed Cotton & 20% Recycled Polyester
While our aim is to forgo plastics as much as we can, with this beanie we felt that a percentage of recycled polyester was the best option to go for. Beanies, such as most outerwear, aren't something we wash regularly and they fulfill a real purpose: to keep us warm. The fact that these need less washing means that there is less micro-plastic shedding to happen from the recycled polyester (& we would recommend using a guppy bag for any washing of polyester based garments). At the same time, the recycled polyester gives the beanie it's shape and fit, helping you stay warm.
What was important to us however, was to make use of plastic free embroidery threads, so we ended up working with someone that would offer embroidery made from Rayon and Tencel threads.
We hope you love the beanies as much as we do - with then weather outside, it's a staple piece for us right now.
Oh, also..
what's on your mind right now?
